Volunteer Role Summaries (Available Days & Times)

Volunteers are welcome to contribute their time according to their availability, without the need to commit to every offered day or time slot.

Gym Support Specialist (Mon-Fri, 9am - 2pm)

The Able Center features a gym outfitted with advanced equipment designed for individuals experiencing paralysis. In collaboration with Certified Special Population Trainers, members can enhance their strength and foster greater autonomy, complementing their ongoing therapy or continuing their progress post-therapy at minimal or no expense. With the growth of Able Faith, there is an increasing need for additional support staff on the gym floor to aid the Trainers with member assistance or to oversee members' use of the equipment.

Executive Assistance (Mon-Fri, Flexible Hours)

Since its foundation in the 2020s, Able Faith has thrived on the commitment of volunteers to support individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. From starting with just one program, we've expanded to eight, significantly increasing our need for more volunteers to assist with daily operations, including email correspondence, database management, data entry, and coordination tasks, to sustain our community services.

Facility Services (Flexible Days & Times)

Able Faith is committed to supporting individuals with neurological and physical disabilities, recognizing the importance of a clean environment due to potential immune system vulnerabilities. To ensure the safety and well-being of our community, volunteers play a crucial role in not only maintaining cleanliness at the Able Faith Center but also in the upkeep of specialized exercise equipment, guaranteeing optimal workout experiences for our members.

Technical Support & IT (Flexible Days & Times)

In 2023, the significance of website accessibility has surged, emphasizing the need for sites to be user-friendly for those with disabilities. This commitment to accessibility ensures equal access to information and services for everyone. Aligning with this, Able Faith prioritizes inclusion, extending its efforts to the digital domain. Our dedicated volunteers work diligently to maintain our website's accessibility, ensuring easy access to scheduling, event information, and resources, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity both online and offline.

Marketing & Communication (Flexible Days & Times)

Our donor-supported organization is dedicated to making a meaningful impact while addressing accessibility concerns. We create a nurturing environment for those wary of unwelcoming spaces. Our outreach extends through diverse channels, including digital media and public relations, to share our mission and events. Volunteers play a crucial role in these efforts, contributing to social media management, content creation, and more, helping to foster a welcoming community where all members can thrive and feel supported.
